Conference
The 2012 Aircraft Airworthiness and Sustainment (AA&S) Conference is being held over 24-26 July at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) in Brisbane, Queensland. This is a non-profit event for the benefit of all those who operate and sustain our aerospace vehicles, military or civilian, large or small, manned or unmanned. The target audience includes engineers, technicians, owners, operators, scientists, logisticians and managers.
This will be the 10th Conference, the earlier “Ageing Aircraft” Conference having been renamed in 2010 to broaden its scope to the current format.
Sponsorship for this event is kindly provided by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), and as always, guest speakers will include representatives from our sister AA&S Conference in the US, reflecting an ongoing collaborative relationship with our allies in the airworthiness, ageing and sustainment community.
In recent years, much has been learned about ageing and sustainment, and the tools, techniques and technologies developed to respond to them. Yet the extent to which this knowledge and the corresponding actions have been embedded into the way we manage and sustain our fleets on a daily basis, warrants much improvement. This AA&S Conference provides the forum to share valuable knowledge around our aerospace community, and encourages the pro-active uptake of ideas and initiatives into our everyday running system sustainment activities.
